January challenge

Welcome to our first challenge of 2024 and this year we are putting a slightly different spin on how some of the months challenges are presented. We will be having several themes in the form of mood boards to reflect the flowers and birthstones of months where DT's Birthdays fall, other months we will carry on with generic themes.

As a stamping challenge entries must have at least one stamped element on the front of entries to be eligible. We are always on the look out for stamping Guest Designers, those interested in being considered please add GD when entering.

Gerrina's Birthday is in January and here is a little about her stamping journey along with the mood board, you can take inspiration from any element or colour within it, or of course follow the AG option.

As a child I started photography and in 1998 began to put them in photo albums with paper, stencils and colours. When I was buying some DP’s I learned that what I did was scrapping. Bought some die-cuts, paper and two text-stamps and went to a Siirus open house  where I did a ‘make and take’ with heat embossing and that was it, I was hooked to stamping.

From Photo albums to cards, from cards to Art Journals and Mixed media, I like to do it all, but I like stamping techniques and stencils most, my favourite  colouring is with ink and aquarel paint. 

My style is sometimes CAS, sometimes grungy or a combination of stamping, scrapping and drawing…I’ve got so many ideas in my head! But the one thing I do every week is an Art Journal Page with how I feel that week or something that happened. I love to participate in challenges and get inspired by all the makes of other stampers. And I love it being in this Design Team because we ask you to get stamping.

As usual we have some mid month inspiration from the Design Team following our 'Favourite Colours' theme, but first would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas along with our thanks for all your support during 2023.

It doesn't seem possible that this is our last challenge of 2023, where did the year go?

We have a nice and simple theme for you....

Favourite Colours 

Any occasion you want, please just make sure there is at least one stamped element on your entries.

As you all know, the Design Team always vote for their favourite entries and the first placed is invited to be a Guest Designer. However, several selected have not bothered to make contact, so in future the DT will still select a Top 3 and any seasoned stampers (not digital) wishing to be considered for a guest spot should add GD against their name when entering. We will then select a Guest Designer from those entries.

Four A5 stamp sets from Highlight Crafts, two winners will each receiving two sets.

There's a real variation of favourite colours from the Design Team and I would like to take the opportunity to thank them all for their hard work and inspiration throughout the year, they would love a visit from you.

November winners and Top picks

Morning everyone, time for our winners and Top picks.

November was a busy month and we saw some fabulous entries, our thanks to all who joined in. As usual Random Org., has selected those winners who are No 127 Lilian and no 108 Yvette....

 

Please both mail me with our full name and postal address by Thursday 7th December, prizes not claimed by that date will be re-drawn and winners notified direct.

Next our Top 4 as selected by the Design Team and unusually we have several entries with the exact same number of votes and they are: No 17 Reeta with the Snowman and Reindeer, No 84 Darlene with the Treescape, 97 Margreet the Robin and No 109 Trina the CAS Snowman. So it seems the fairest way is to first ask those who are interested in a GDT spot next month to mail me by Thursday 7th December,  if there is more than one we will do a draw from those people and let you know.
